David N. Eames, DO
Dr. Eames, a dedicated pediatrician and lifelong Virginian, has always been driven by a passion for helping others and a love for his community. Born and raised in Hampton Roads, Dr. Eames discovered his calling for helping children early in life. He pursued his undergraduate studies at Old Dominion University, where he majored in Biology with a focus in Pre-Med, graduating magna cum laude.
During his time at Old Dominion, Dr. Eames volunteered at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and worked at a local YMCA, where he met his wife, Christina, who would become his partner in life and in his journey to becoming a pediatrician. In 2016, the couple relocated to Blacksburg, Virginia, where Dr. Eames attended the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine. The stunning landscapes and warm, welcoming community of Southwest Virginia captured their hearts, and they knew they had found the perfect place to build their lives while serving others.
After completing medical school, Dr. Eames pursued his residency training in pediatric medicine at the esteemed Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke. During this time, he developed a deep understanding of children's unique healthcare needs and honed his skills in providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

Together, they enjoy exploring the natural beauty of Southwest Virginia, embarking on hiking adventures, and engaging in various outdoor activities. Dr. Eames is also deeply committed to his faith, where he finds strength and guidance.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Eames is committed to managing every aspect of a child's health and well-being. His expertise encompasses many areas, including newborn care, well-child visits, acute and chronic illnesses, immunization schedules, ADHD management, sports injuries, and mild-to-moderate chronic psychological conditions. He believes in building strong, trusting relationships with his patients and their families, ensuring every child receives the personalized attention and care they need to thrive.
Motivated by a desire to provide accessible, affordable, and exceptional pediatric care, Dr. Eames founded Direct Pediatrics Care. This innovative practice model allows him to spend more time with each patient, fostering a deeper understanding of their unique needs and concerns. By offering a direct primary care approach, Dr. Eames ensures that families can access the care their children need without the burden of financial stress or unnecessary barriers.
